JAMB/CASING - DOOR FRAME

Rabbeted edge

The factory finished in the same furniture grade laminate, wood veneer or lacquer finish, so there is no difference between the door leaf, frame, and edge. With a rabbeted edge - frame style, the door panel will overlap the casing 3/8" on the "room" wide of the door. This is the standard door style in Europe and provides both light and sound reduction benefits.

Non rabbeted

The factory finished in the same furniture grade laminate, wood veneer or lacquer finish, so there is no difference between the door leaf, frame and edge. The non rabbeted frame style uses Tectus concealed hinges to provide an interior door panel that is flush with the casing (frame) on the "room side" of the door.

Light cut-outs

Interior doors with glass inserts add another element of style! Light cut-outs are done slightly different depending on the interior door manufacture.
